The restoration of Parham House was a lifelong project for Alicia & Clive; UK

Parham House in Sussex is one of England's finest 16th-century manor houses, saved from certain ruin by the late Clive and Alicia Pearson, who began restoring it in 1922. The couple were passionate about Tudor art and architecture and keen collectors of Elizabethan antiques. Their purchase and restoration of Parham House not only saved the building, but also resulted in the creation of one of the most important collections of Elizabethan and Jacobean art in the country. Since their deaths, the couple's work has been continued by their daughter Veronica.
